1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the “User”, “Client”, or “Customer”) and Shoster (“we”, “us”, or “our”) regarding your access to and use of our website, hosting services, and all associated features, tools, and platforms we provide.

By creating an account, purchasing a service, or using any part of our hosting platform, you signify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use any of Shoster’s services.

We recommend that you carefully review these Terms before using our services. Your continued use of the Shoster platform, even after changes to these Terms, will be considered your full and unconditional acceptance of those changes. It is your responsibility to regularly check this page for updates, as we reserve the right to modify, amend, or replace any part of these Terms at any time without direct notice.

These Terms apply to all users of Shoster’s services, including but not limited to individuals, businesses, resellers, and organizations, regardless of the country or jurisdiction from which you access our platform.

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by law, the remaining sections will continue to apply in full force. This agreement is governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Shoster operates, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive authority of our local courts unless otherwise required by law.

2. Eligibility and Account Registration

To use the services offered by Shoster, you must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. By registering for an account or purchasing any of our services, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement and are fully capable of entering into a binding legal agreement.

During the registration process, you are required to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including your full name, valid email address, and billing details. You agree to keep this information updated at all times. Failure to provide accurate information may result in suspension or termination of your account without notice.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. Any activity that occurs under your account will be considered your responsibility, whether you authorized it or not. Shoster will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence or failure to secure your login information.

If you suspect that your account has been compromised, you are required to notify Shoster immediately so that we can assist in securing your account and preventing further misuse. We reserve the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, or cancel registrations at our sole discretion, especially in cases involving fraud, misrepresentation, or abuse.

3. Service Overview

Shoster provides a variety of web hosting and internet infrastructure services designed to support individuals, developers, businesses, and organizations in establishing and maintaining their online presence. Our core offerings include, but are not limited to: shared hosting, VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting, dedicated servers, domain name registration, SSL certificates, business email services, and other web-related solutions.

Each hosting plan and service may come with specific features, limitations, and technical specifications, which are clearly detailed on our website and during the checkout process. Users are encouraged to review these details carefully before purchasing any service.

While Shoster strives to deliver high-performance, secure, and stable hosting environments, users acknowledge that occasional interruptions, technical issues, and maintenance-related downtime may occur. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our services, although we commit to resolving such issues as promptly and efficiently as possible.

Our services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind—either expressed or implied—except as specifically stated in writing. Performance, speed, and uptime may vary depending on network conditions, server load, and third-party dependencies.

We continuously work to enhance and expand our offerings. Shoster reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of its services, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice, and shall not be liable to any user or third party for such modifications or service changes.

4. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

To maintain the integrity, security, and performance of our services, Shoster enforces a strict Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). This policy outlines the rules for how our hosting services may be used and prohibits activities that may harm our network, our clients, or the wider internet community.

Users agree not to use any of Shoster’s services to engage in or promote the following activities:

  • Illegal Activities: Hosting or distributing content that violates any applicable law, regulation, or legal right, including pirated software, copyrighted material, counterfeit products, or stolen data.
  • Adult Content: Hosting or linking to sexually explicit material, pornography, or any form of adult content is strictly prohibited on all Shoster servers.
  • Spamming: Sending unsolicited emails, bulk messages, or using the platform for phishing, scam, or deceptive campaigns.
  • Malicious Software: Hosting, distributing, or facilitating viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware, or any software intended to harm or disrupt systems or data.
  • Resource Abuse: Running software or scripts that excessively consume server resources, degrade performance for others, or disrupt normal operations.
  • Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, networks, systems, or data.
  • Hate Speech or Violence: Promoting or distributing content that encourages hate, racism, violence, terrorism, or discrimination.

Any user found in violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may have their service suspended or terminated without notice. In severe cases, Shoster may also report violations to appropriate authorities and cooperate in any legal investigation.

Shoster reserves the right to update this AUP at any time. Continued use of our services after such updates indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.

5. Content Restrictions

To ensure a secure, lawful, and respectful environment for all users, Shoster strictly prohibits the hosting or distribution of certain types of content across all its platforms and services. All users are fully responsible for the content they upload, publish, transmit, or make available through our hosting services.

The following categories of content are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate suspension or termination of services:

  • Illegal Content: Any material that violates local, national, or international laws, including but not limited to pirated software, unlicensed media, or counterfeit goods.
  • Adult or Pornographic Content: Hosting sexually explicit images, videos, or content of an adult nature is not permitted on any Shoster hosting plan.
  • Violent or Hateful Content: Content that promotes violence, self-harm, hate speech, racism, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on religion, gender, ethnicity, or orientation.
  • Malware and Exploits: Files or programs intended to harm, exploit, spy on, or otherwise disrupt systems, networks, or users (e.g., viruses, trojans, keyloggers, or ransomware).
  • Phishing or Fraudulent Sites: Websites designed to deceive users, such as fake login pages, fake shopping sites, or impersonation of legitimate brands or services.
  • Infringing Content: Unauthorized use of copyrighted works, trademarks, or intellectual property without proper rights or licenses.
  • Harassment or Defamation: Content targeting, threatening, or defaming individuals, organizations, or communities.

All accounts found violating these content restrictions are subject to immediate action, which may include service suspension, permanent termination, and reporting to legal authorities if necessary.

Shoster reserves the right to audit hosted content and take necessary actions to protect its users, servers, and reputation. These restrictions apply to all services unless explicitly stated otherwise.

6. Server Resource Usage

Shoster is committed to providing fast, reliable, and stable hosting services to all users. To ensure fair usage and optimal performance across our shared infrastructure, we enforce reasonable limitations on server resource consumption. This includes CPU usage, memory (RAM), disk I/O, bandwidth, and other system resources.

Users are expected to use server resources responsibly and avoid any activities that may negatively impact the performance, stability, or availability of our services for other clients. Excessive usage or abuse may lead to automated or manual resource throttling, temporary suspension, or account termination.

Examples of resource abuse include, but are not limited to:

  • Running continuous background processes or cron jobs without prior approval.
  • Hosting scripts or applications that cause high CPU or memory load, especially on shared servers.
  • Storing or serving large volumes of media files (e.g., video/audio) not related to your primary website function.
  • Using the server for file-sharing, backup storage, or other non-web hosting purposes.
  • Running mining software, proxy servers, or automated bots without written permission from Shoster.

Clients with consistent high-resource needs are advised to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated server plan that better suits their requirements. Shoster reserves the right to monitor resource usage in real-time and take immediate action to protect server health and maintain service quality.

Repeated violations of resource usage policies may result in service limitations or permanent suspension of the hosting account.

7. Billing and Payment Terms

All services provided by Shoster are offered on a prepaid basis, unless otherwise stated. This means payment must be made in advance before service activation or renewal. By purchasing our hosting services, you agree to pay all applicable fees as outlined during checkout or in your account dashboard.

Clients are responsible for ensuring timely payment of invoices to avoid disruption of service. Invoices are typically generated 7 days prior to the due date. Failure to pay an invoice by its due date may result in suspension of the associated service, and if left unpaid beyond the grace period, permanent termination of the account and deletion of all data.

Accepted payment methods may include credit/debit cards, bank transfers, online wallets, or third-party gateways, depending on availability in your region. Shoster does not store complete payment details directly and uses secure, encrypted gateways to handle all financial transactions.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that payment information is up to date and that there are sufficient funds available for automatic renewals, if enabled. Shoster shall not be held liable for service disruption caused by failed payment attempts.

Any billing disputes must be submitted to our billing department within 7 calendar days from the date of the disputed invoice. We will make reasonable efforts to investigate and resolve the matter promptly.

Prices, discounts, and promotional offers are subject to change at any time, with or without prior notice. However, any changes will not affect services already paid for unless explicitly stated.

8. Refund and Cancellation Policy

Shoster strives to offer reliable services and customer satisfaction. However, we understand that circumstances may arise where a cancellation or refund is necessary. This section outlines our policies regarding service cancellations and eligibility for refunds.

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on shared hosting plans only. If you are not satisfied with the service and request cancellation within the first 7 days of your initial purchase, you are eligible for a full refund—no questions asked. The refund will be processed using the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.

The following services are non-refundable once activated or registered:

  • Domain name registrations, renewals, and transfers
  • VPS and Dedicated Server plans
  • SSL certificates after issuance
  • Software licenses or third-party add-ons
  • Promotional or discounted packages

To cancel a service, you must submit a cancellation request through your client dashboard or contact our support team. Cancellations must be requested before the next billing cycle to avoid renewal charges.

If you cancel after the refund window has passed, no refund will be issued, but your service will remain active until the end of your billing period. Early cancellation does not entitle you to a partial refund.

Shoster reserves the right to deny a refund request if we detect abuse, violations of our Terms of Service, or fraudulent activity. Repeated refund requests from the same client may be declined at our discretion.

For refund status or cancellation confirmation, you may contact our billing department via support channels listed on our website.

9. Account Suspension and Termination

Shoster reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to any of our services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason deemed necessary to protect our systems, users, and business operations.

Common reasons for suspension or termination include (but are not limited to):

  • Non-payment or overdue invoices beyond the allowed grace period
  • Violation of our Terms and Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), or Content Restrictions
  • Use of services for illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activities
  • Excessive resource consumption that negatively affects other users
  • Security threats, including malware distribution or phishing attempts
  • Failure to respond to abuse or verification requests within a reasonable time frame

In case of suspension, you may receive a notification via email or client dashboard with instructions for resolving the issue. If no action is taken within the specified time, Shoster may proceed with permanent termination of the account.

Once terminated, all associated data, files, databases, and backups may be permanently deleted without further warning. It is the user’s responsibility to maintain their own backups or request a data export before termination occurs.

Shoster is not liable for any data loss, business disruption, or damages resulting from account suspension or termination due to a breach of terms or user negligence.

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may contact our support team to request a review. However, final decisions rest solely with Shoster’s management team.

10. Data Backup and Restoration

Shoster understands the importance of your website data and makes every effort to protect it through regular automated backups. However, it is the sole responsibility of the client to maintain up-to-date copies of their own data. While we provide backup services as a courtesy, they are not guaranteed and should not be relied upon as the only source of data protection.

We typically perform automated backups on shared hosting servers at scheduled intervals. The frequency and retention period of these backups may vary based on your hosting plan. VPS and dedicated server clients are required to manage their own backup solutions unless a managed backup service has been explicitly purchased.

Backup services are intended for disaster recovery only. Clients may request a data restoration from our available backups by submitting a support ticket. Please note that:

  • Restoration requests may take 12–48 hours to process, depending on complexity and system load.
  • There may be a restoration fee depending on the type of hosting plan and the number of restoration requests made.
  • We cannot guarantee the availability or completeness of any backup.

Clients are strongly encouraged to download and store their own backups regularly using the control panel tools provided (such as cPanel or DirectAdmin). Shoster will not be held liable for any data loss resulting from failed or unavailable backups, regardless of cause.

By using our services, you agree to this backup policy and understand that data integrity and protection are ultimately your own responsibility.

11. Uptime and Service Level Agreement (SLA)

At Shoster, we are committed to delivering reliable and high-performance hosting services. We aim to maintain a network uptime of at least 99.9% on a monthly basis for our shared, VPS, and dedicated hosting plans. This commitment reflects our ongoing investment in infrastructure, security, and support systems to ensure a stable hosting environment.

Our Uptime Guarantee specifically applies to network availability and does not cover planned maintenance, force majeure events, hardware failures, software misconfigurations, or user-caused incidents. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance whenever possible and conducted during off-peak hours to minimize disruption.

In the rare event that uptime falls below 99.9% within a billing cycle due to server or network-related issues directly caused by Shoster, clients may be eligible for a pro-rata credit based on the amount of downtime experienced. The credit must be requested via a support ticket within 7 days of the incident and does not apply to:

  • Downtime caused by client-side actions or software errors.
  • Issues outside Shoster’s network (e.g., ISP outages, DNS propagation delays).
  • Accounts found in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

While we strive to offer exceptional uptime, no hosting environment can be entirely free from unexpected outages. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that occasional service interruptions may occur and that our SLA is limited to the network layer of our infrastructure.

Our uptime statistics and SLA credits are monitored and calculated internally. These metrics are not negotiable, and our decisions on SLA-related credits are final.

12. Support Services and Availability

Shoster is committed to providing reliable and responsive customer support to ensure a smooth hosting experience for all clients. Our support team is available 24/7 via ticketing system, with additional live chat and email support available during business hours.

We aim to respond to support inquiries within the following timeframes:

  • General Inquiries: Within 12 hours
  • Technical Issues: Within 1 to 4 hours
  • Emergency Cases (e.g., server down): Immediate attention with priority handling

Support services cover technical assistance related to:

  • Website and server uptime issues
  • Control panel access and configuration (e.g., cPanel, Plesk)
  • DNS management and domain-related queries
  • Server software and hosting environment troubleshooting

However, our support does not include the following under standard plans:

  • Custom website development or script installation
  • Debugging third-party applications or plugins
  • Training users in using web technologies or CMS platforms

For tasks outside the scope of standard support, Shoster may offer paid technical services on request, subject to availability and scope agreement.

Abuse of support staff through harassment, excessive or unreasonable demands, or misuse of support channels may lead to temporary suspension or termination of support privileges.

13. Payment, Billing, and Renewals

All hosting services offered by Shoster are subject to timely payment as per the pricing plans selected during sign-up. By purchasing any of our services, the customer agrees to allow Shoster to charge their chosen payment method for all applicable fees on a recurring basis, unless the service is explicitly cancelled prior to renewal.

Billing Cycles

We offer various billing cycles, including monthly, quarterly, and annual plans. Customers are responsible for reviewing the billing terms associated with their selected plan and ensuring funds are available on the renewal date.

Auto-Renewals

Services such as domain names and hosting packages are automatically renewed unless the customer disables auto-renewal through the client dashboard. Renewal notices are sent via email prior to the billing date.

Payment Methods

We accept payments through major debit/credit cards, PayPal, and other locally supported payment gateways. All payments are processed securely through industry-standard encryption protocols.

Late Payments and Account Suspension

Failure to make payments by the due date will result in the following actions:

  • 1–3 Days Late: Courtesy reminder emails will be sent.
  • 4–7 Days Late: Service may be temporarily suspended until payment is received.
  • 7+ Days Late: Account may be permanently terminated, and all associated data may be deleted.

Refunds and Disputes

Refund eligibility is determined based on our Refund Policy. Customers are encouraged to contact our billing team for clarification before initiating chargebacks or disputes. Filing a dispute without first contacting support may result in immediate service termination.

Shoster reserves the right to modify pricing, billing terms, or supported payment methods at any time, with prior notice to customers.

14. Cancellation and Termination

Customers may cancel their services with Shoster at any time by submitting a cancellation request through the client dashboard or contacting our support team. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure cancellation requests are properly submitted and confirmed before the next billing cycle.

Voluntary Cancellation

Clients may cancel individual services (e.g., hosting, domain registration) or their entire account. To avoid automatic renewals and further billing, cancellation must be completed at least 24 hours before the renewal date. No refunds will be provided for unused time in the billing cycle unless covered under our Refund Policy.

Data Backup and Responsibility

Upon cancellation or termination, all data stored on Shoster servers may be permanently deleted. It is the customer’s responsibility to back up all necessary files, databases, and content prior to termination. Shoster is not liable for any data loss resulting from cancellation.

Termination by Shoster

Shoster reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, without prior notice, for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
  • Involvement in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities
  • Failure to comply with payment obligations

Effect of Termination

In the event of termination, all rights granted under these terms shall cease immediately, and the customer’s access to all services and data will be revoked. Any outstanding dues will become immediately payable.

Shoster encourages clients to contact support before cancellation to resolve any concerns or issues that may be causing dissatisfaction.

15. Refund Policy

At Shoster, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction. Our refund policy is designed to be transparent and fair, outlining the specific conditions under which customers may request a refund.

Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on our shared hosting plans. If you are not satisfied with our services within the first 7 days of your initial purchase, you may request a full refund, no questions asked.

Non-Refundable Services

The following services are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Domain name registrations, renewals, or transfers
  • Dedicated servers, VPS, or custom server setups
  • SSL certificates once issued
  • Any service fees incurred for additional software/licenses

Refund Request Procedure

To request a refund, clients must submit a support ticket through the client area with a valid reason for cancellation. All requests are reviewed manually and processed within 5–7 business days.

Disputed or Chargeback Cases

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first attempting to resolve the issue with Shoster may lead to immediate suspension of your account. Any chargebacks that are found to be invalid will incur an administrative fee and permanent termination of services.

Pro-Rated Refunds

Refunds are only available within the initial guarantee period. After this period, services are billed on a monthly or annual basis and are non-refundable. Pro-rated refunds are not provided for early cancellations beyond the refund window.

If you have any concerns about billing or your service experience, we encourage you to contact us before initiating cancellation or disputes.

16. Limitation of Liability

Shoster shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from the use or inability to use our hosting services. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, business interruptions, goodwill, or other intangible losses, even if Shoster has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

While we strive to provide uninterrupted and secure services, we do not guarantee that our hosting environment will be error-free, timely, secure, or that defects will be corrected. Any reliance on the services offered by Shoster is at your own risk.

In jurisdictions where limitations on liability are not permitted, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. In no case shall Shoster’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to this agreement exceed the amount you paid, if any, for using our services during the last 30 days prior to the event giving rise to the liability.

This limitation applies to all causes of action, including but not limited to, breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, and any other legal theories.

17. Indemnification

By using the services of Shoster, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Shoster, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use or misuse of our services.
  • Your violation of these Terms and Conditions or any applicable law.
  • Your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of a third party.
  • Your breach of any representation, warranty, or obligation under this agreement.

You agree that this indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your use of Shoster’s services. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claim.

18. Modifications to the Terms

Shoster reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to revise, update, or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any such changes will be effective immediately upon being posted on our official website, unless otherwise stated.

It is your responsibility to regularly review these terms to stay informed about any updates or changes. Continued use of our services after modifications to the terms have been posted will constitute your acceptance of the revised terms.

If you do not agree with the new or modified terms, you must discontinue using Shoster’s services immediately. Failure to do so will result in continued binding effect of the updated terms on your usage.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law principles. By accessing and using the services provided by Shoster, you agree that any legal action or proceeding arising under or related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Pakistan.
